Queen of the Mats is a Super Fight Event

We pride ourselves in promoting the incredible ladies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and showcasing their extraordinary skills on the mat. Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all female competitors, regardless of their skill level. Whether you are just starting your BJJ journey or have years of experience under your belt, we encourage every woman to sign up and participate in our events. With careful consideration, we match each participant with a suitable opponent, ensuring fair and exciting matches that push the boundaries of their abilities. No matter your level, the Sisterhood of the Traveling Gi is the perfect platform for female BJJ practitioners to showcase their dedication, passion, and talent.

  • Competitors do not pay to compete but must be matched to compete.

    Competitors will be matched as the applications are received. Matches are final 48 hours before the Super Fight. If the competitor did not receive a match, we encourage them to submit their application for the next Super Fight.

    Competitors will have the opportunity to set their own matches by completing the block ‘Do you know who you’d like to match with’. This is not a guarantee that the match will be set but offers competitors to fight outside their normal brackets.

    Competitors will receive a cash prize when a submission occurs in less than 60 seconds.

    The events are live streamed on Flo Grappling.

  • The first half of the match is submission only. If there is not a submission the match will continue with points. If the match ends without points the opponents will enter a sudden death match.

    There will not be referee decisions, advantage points, or draws.

    Girls White Belt Thru Green Belt 6 min

    Teen Blue Belts 8 min

    Stalling minus 1 point

    Take Down must hold for 1 second 2 points

    Sweep must hold position for 3 seconds 2 points

    Guard Pass must hold position for 3 seconds 3 points

    Mount must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Both Hooks in from Back must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    All Chokes and Armbars are Legal

    Straight Ankle Locks are legal

    No Other attacks below the waist

    Women White Belt 10 min

    Stalling minus 1 point

    Take Down must hold for 1 second 2 points

    Sweep must hold position for 3 seconds 2 points

    Guard Pass must hold position for 3 seconds 3 points

    Mount must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Both Hooks in from Back must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Women Blue Belt 10 min

    Purple, Brown & Black Belt GI 12 min

    Sweep must hold position for 3 seconds 2 points

    Guard Pass must hold position for 3 seconds 3 points

    Mount must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Both Hooks in from Back must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    All Techniques except Reaping and Heel Hooks are legal

    Intermediate NOGI 10 Min

    Stalling minus 1 point

    Take Down must hold for 1 second 2 points

    Sweep must hold position for 3 seconds 2 points

    Guard Pass must hold position for 3 seconds 3 points

    Mount must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Both Hooks in from Back must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    All Techniques are legal excluding reaping and heel hook

    Advanced NOGI 12min

    Stalling minus 1 point

    Take Down must hold for 1 second 2 points

    Sweep must hold position for 3 seconds 2 points

    Guard Pass must hold position for 3 seconds 3 points

    Mount must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    Both Hooks in from Back must hold for 3 seconds 4 points

    All Techniques are legal including reaping and heel hook

  • No slamming at any level

    No foal language or negative communication with opponent & opponents team

  • If the competitors reach the end of their match without a submission or points, a coin toss will determine who has the position.

    The opponent in the dominate position at the matches end will have first choice of heads or tails in the coin toss.

    Heads - The standing position will stand with a collar tie/lapel grip or a wrist control/sleeve grip.

    Tails - The seated position will be open guard.

    Sudden Death is an unlimited match. The first 60 seconds will be submission only. Following, the first opponent to score points will be declared the winner.
